Statement of Faith
We believe that every word in the scriptures is inspired by God and the authority of both the Old and New Testaments. We believe the word of God to be the supreme and final authority for faith and practice. II Peter 1:20,21; II Timothy 3:16,17
•We believe man was created in the image of God, through disobedience sinned and fell, and that the entire human race shares in man’s lost and depraved nature. Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 3:10; 22-23; 5:12-19; Ephesians 2:1-3;12
•We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit having the same characteristics. II Corinthians 13:14
•We believe in the Deity of Jesus, the eternal Son of God, who took upon Himself the form of a man by means of the virgin birth. Atonement for sin was made by the sacrificial and substitutional death of Jesus Christ. Isaiah 7:14; Hebrews 1:1-3; I John 2:1-2
•We believe salvation is the gift of God by grace alone and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and that this faith is manifested in works pleasing to God. Ephesians 2:8-10
•We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into heaven, and His priestly intercession for us with God, the Father.
I Corinthians 15:3-4; Hebrews 7:25
•We believe that the person of the Holy Spirit is the Promise of the Father, our Comforter sent to convict the world of sin, which baptizes each believer into the Body of Christ, who lives in the believer and gives spiritual gifts to each believer. John 16: 8-11; I Corinthians 12:12-14; Ephesians 1:13-14; I John 2:20,27
•We believe that the ordinances of the church, by the command of Christ, are Water Baptism by immersion, and the Lord’s Supper, both of which are administered to those who are born again. Acts 8:36-39; Matt. 28:19-20; I Corinthians 11:23-32
•We believe in the eternal salvation of the believers and in the eternal damnation and punishment of every non-believer. Matt. 25:46; Revelation 20:4-6; 10-15
•We believe that the end of all things includes the visible, personal, pre-tribulational, glorious return of the Lord Jesus Christ for the church. I Thess. 4:13-18
